Your Gifts Strengthen Your Community Foundation

Support the Community Foundation’s work through our Annual Fund. Your gift enables us to be at the ready to respond to emergency, and long-term needs in our community.Donate Now
Since our founding in 1991, visionary donors have entrusted the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts with gifts to improve the lives of your neighbors across Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.
When those early donors put their dollars together, they wanted the communities they loved to always thrive—and they wanted the Foundation to be there forever to invest their dollars wisely and respond to the changing needs of their neighbors with the most impactful means possible.
We’ve kept our promise to donors: Each year, we’ve turned gifts into grants to nonprofit organizations tackling community problems most effectively and to scholarships for students pursing college degrees.
You can continue to help us help you.
We are your community foundation and we are here to make our future better.

COVID-19 Response Fund
Since March 2020, over 650 generous donors have contributed to the COVID Response Fund to support our community during the COVID crisis. The Community Foundation has distributed these funds through emergency grants to nonprofits serving those most severely impacted, and through nonprofit stabilization grants which will assist critical organizations to re-establish their footing, or re-envision how their mission can continue in our new reality.
To learn more, please contact Ellen Leuchs, Vice President for Philanthropic Services, or Daisy Pereira-Tosado, Director of Philanthropy at 413-732-2858.
The Community Foundation offers fundholders the opportunity to join us in funding unique community efforts. By pooling resources we can amplify our investments in the critical work of these nonprofits.
