The preliminary application deadline for the current grant cycle has passed.
Be an innovator in the Pioneer Valley! Be bold, be creative, and catalyze change. The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts (CFWM) is seeking big ideas designed to address community problems and improve lives in our region.
The CFWM is hosting its first Innovation Grant competition in Fall of 2016. This first round of funding will be planning grants that provide “early stage” funding to nonprofits for emerging ideas, initiatives and/or new collaborations that can substantially impact or provide measurable progress toward solving a significant challenge in our region.
We invite nonprofit organizations to use this opportunity to ignite change, turn old solutions on their head, create and/or energize coalitions, collaborate to solve problems, and work toward impacting significant, sustainable and measureable change in the Pioneer Valley.
The Innovation Grant Program will create the opportunity for nonprofit organizations to take time to:
- Design and plan for strategies that can be implemented to address a pressing problem;
- Engage with end-users and incorporate their feedback;
- Identify barriers and collect relevant data and measures;
- Test ideas that may lead to a new approach to a community solution
