Advanced Giving scheduled announced

Advanced giving for Valley Gives 2017, will begin on Tuesday April 25. This means that donors can go to the Valley Gives website one week early and make a donation. These donations will not be processed until early morning hours of May 2; donors won’t need to make an account to donate early.

You can use this opportunity to develop momentum and build awareness around your Valley Gives campaign.

About videos & Guidestar

Videos on Kimbia
We recently learned that videos posted to your organization profile page live not play on Valley Gives Day. The reasons is that Kimbia wants to minimize the risk of bandwidth being compromised for donations. This means that videos should be though of as being promotional prior to May 2. If you send people to your profile page before Valley Gives Day, they will be able to learn about your organization and watch the video then.

Use GuideStar to your advantage
We also suggest that you make sure your GuideStar link is posted. Many donors, especially younger donors, want to know details about organizations they donate to. GuideStar will easily link to official submissions your organization has made to state or federal governments.
