MassMutual Scholarship


The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts manages scholarships provided by Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual). Founded in 1851, MassMutual is a leading mutual life insurance company headquartered in Springfield, MA.

The MassMutual Scholarship is available to a student who meets the following criteria:

  1. Resident of Springfield, MA or Enfield, CT
  2. Graduating high school senior enrolled in specific Business and Information Technology majors
  3. High School GPA of 3.0 or higher
  4. Attends a 2 or 4 year college in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island or Vermont

 

Renewability:

Recipients of the MassMutual Scholarship may be eligible to renew this scholarship for up to three more consecutive years so long as they continue to meet the following criteria:

  1. Maintain a cumulative college GPA of B- or higher as defined by the college or university the student attends
  2. Attend a 2 or 4 year college in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New

York, Rhode Island or Vermont

  • The process for renewing a MassMutual Scholarship is as follows:
  1. Students complete a separate application provided to them in early June by the Community Foundation of Western MA
  2. Students must provide a copy of their academic transcript, showing final grades for the Spring semester, with their application
  • Deadline for complete applications is July 15
