Grant Application Process

innovationgrantlogoPreliminary Application

All applicants interested in the CFWM Innovation Grant competition are required to submit an online preliminary application. The preliminary application is due on October 28, 2016 at 5 p.m. This application allows the CFWM review committee to determine if a proposal is aligned with the Innovation Grant Program’s goals and whether the proposal merits further consideration given available resources. Preliminary applications will only be accepted if submitted through the CFWM’s online application system.  To access an existing or in-progress application, login to your CFWM online application portal here.

Full Innovation Grant Application

For those applicants selected to move forward in the review process, a full Innovation Grant application will be made available on December 5th, 2016 and due on January 6th, 2017. Selected applicants will receive a link to the full application from a CFWM staff member.

Meet Up

The Innovation Grant Meet-Up on January 26th, 2017 is an opportunity for applicants, who are selected to move forward after the Preliminary Application phase, to meet with and share their Innovation with a set of CFWM volunteer reviewers and funders. You and another member involved in your planning process will attend.

Grant Awards will be commensurate with each applicant’s innovation planning approach and scope of work.  While there is no dollar amount set for these grants, the application’s budget should closely relate to all necessary planning grant activities and be commensurate with the planning process over a six-month period. The CFWM will allocate a total of approximately $300,000 to support all grants selected to receive funding.   Multi-year Innovation Implementation Grants will likely be available to Innovation Planning Grant grantees, through a competitive process, in the fall of 2017.
